'BETTER' WORK

I've always held a strong adherence to an ethos I learned from Mark Peterman when I lived in Kansas City. A true photographer will always examine their own work subjectively and objectively challenge themselves to make better photographs. This isn't a direct quote but it's pretty close. I've been stuck in a creative rut with my personal work lately and had a chance to shake out some creative cobwebs in Portland last week. I connected with Lindsey Avenetti, a great stylist and make up artist I've worked with on several jobs at The North Face. We didn't set a lot of parameters or look at any work we were inspired by. We just played with light and a great model, Sarah. 'Better work' is subjective but I think this is step in a better direction. MUA/Styling by Lindsey Avenetti : Modeling by Sarah Schroeder Conde
